No, there is no Whole Foods Market in Saskatoon. When you are looking for Gourmet Grocery there is only one place we turn and that’s The Bulk Cheese Warehouse. Located conveniently in the center of Saskatoon on Broadway avenue it’s a great place to stop in when going for a walk by the beautiful scenic river.
There are two parts to the Bulk Cheese Warehouse. First off there is the grocery area, here you will find an incredible variety of cheeses from around the world many of which you won’t find anywhere else in the city (although Costco is now offering a very small selection of Gourmet imported cheeses at very reasonable prices). This grocery store is COOL looking. To the right are the cheese refrigerators and to the left you’ll find the deli area. Here you’ll find gourmet salads, and sides sold by the pound. To the front of the storeby the checkout they have several types of Somosas with very tempting sauces (both Hot & Mild). They also have different types of appetizers and desserts available and fresh and frozen breads for sale.
The second part of the Bulk Cheese Warehouse is the Butcher Shop. Lots of cuts of meat and sausages as well as a Gourmet Specialty freezer with unique finds. Where else in Saskatoon are you going to find Ostrich meat?
