If you are looking for fresh Vietnamese Saskatoon restaurant delivery look no further than 3 Thien Vietnam. Here at Stoon.ca we are absolute variety enthusiasts. That’s why when we’re craving Vietnamese food we call Thien Vietnam for pick-up or delivery.

This is also a great place to dine-in. They have lots of larger tables when going out with a family or group, along with comfortable booths. When we’re dining in we like to enjoy the interesting ambiance and their selection of imported beers!

The Jumbo Combination Noodle Dishes are offered up with tasty Vietnamese rolls (fried up fresh!), sliced chicken breast and large succulent grilled shrimp. They are  garnished with peanuts, sliced green onions & shredded carrot and we call them our absolute favorite! (We weren’t crazy about the beef – it was a bit chewy) We’ve notice several Saskatoon Asian Restaurants using shrimp of sub-par quality. This is not the case at Thien Vietnam… When we go,  we ALWAYS order extra shrimp! The fish sauce is tasty, and we get extra of that too!

In addition to Vietnamese cuisine, Thien features a Canadian style breakfast menu. 3 Thien Vietnam restaurant in Saskatoon is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

I remember going to Saigon Rose Restaurant (now where the ODEON Night Club is located) every Saturday with my entire family. Rose herself always served us personally and we would always get the same dishes. I myself would order Shrimp Satay Rice Noodle Soup x3 spicy. She would always watch in amazement as a little girl would devour soup filled with tons of peppers! That location has long been closed but there are three other Saigon Rose Restaurants to choose from. For Saskatoon Food Delivery the Saigon rose is really cheap!

We’ll be reviewing the Saskatoon Saigon Rose Restaurant 24th Street location. When dining in at the 24th Street East location you’ll find the decor is really simple and the restaurant can accommodate many people. The Saigon Rose is a great place for lunch in Saskatoon. They offer speedy service on traditional Chinese Dishes. If you’re going for two try ordering the large combination noodle dish, well large enough to share! This dish comes on a large platter with tons of everything! Chicken, Shrimp, Rolls… you name it! The food is of average quality, but you get a ton of it.

Saskatoon take out is available as well at the Saigon Rose. The take-out containers do get leaky, but they wrap them in plastic bags. I would recommend the combination packages. Saskatoon Restaurant Delivery? No problem, order from The Saigon Rose and tell them how many people you need to feed. Then you pick from a list of dining options! I remember we got several dishes for 5-6 people for around $60 after tax… not bad at all!

To sum it up the Saigon Rose Restaurant offers Saskatoon Vietnamese & Chinese food delivery & Take Out at a decent price.

So, you’ve got the munchies? It can be hard trying to find late night Restaurant Delivery in Saskatoon. But we’ve got good news for you buddy! The Pita Pit is open *really* late until 3am from Sunday to Wednesday and until 4am from Thursday to Saturday. Dining in and take out are both available…. and they even deliver! That would make this one of the only *true* late night Saskatoon Delivery joints!

The pita wraps contain a main ingredient, like Philly cheesesteak, falafel or chicken souvlaki and include other sandwich toppings available. A popular pita choice is chicken caesar, consisting of grilled chicken breast, two strips of bacon and caesar salad dressing. Some of the fresh vegetables available include tomato, onion, lettuce and mushrooms. Three types of cheese are available (feta, cheddar, swiss), as are several sauces (including tzatziki, Caesar salad dressing and honey mustard.)

Ooooh yea! Out hitting the Saskatoon Bars? Don’t need a food hangover to go along with your booze hangover? You’ll be happy with all of Pita Pits healthy options. Pita Pit is definitely better than hitting up McDonalds wouldn’t you think?

Genesis gourmet Chinese Dim Sum Salt & Pepper Squid

I’d have trouble coming up with just one word to describe Saskatoon Genesis Family Restaurant. The gourmet Chinese Food is WONDERFUL, delicious, flavorful, unique, rich, tasty, and just so so so so so good!

The decor is so delightfully 80′s that it makes me giggle! Walk into the Genesis family Restaurant and you’ll usually be seated promptly unless you show up on a Sunday when they offer up their special Dim Sum Menu. The waitresses circle the restaurant with carts and you pick and choose a variety of reasonably priced delicious little appetizers and dishes. For Saskatoon Dim Sum, Genesis is your place. If you really want to impress your new girlfriend, or your in-laws take them to Genesis on Sunday and ask to be seated at one of the round dining tables(make sure you have a reservation). As you pick and choose your dishes you will be able to place them on a rotating circle on top of the table. No asking to pass! You share the many dishes by rotating the turn table, while sitting across from one another. It truly is a unique bonding experience. Feeling adventurous? Give the Salt and Pepper Squid a try, (pictured) it’s highly addictive! The Dim Sum menu is also available to order in the afternoons but some of the items are omitted.

The regular menu is also exceptional with the highlights being the appetizers. The deep fried shrimp dumplings are wonton wrappers stuffed with shrimp and served up with a delicious creamy sauce (highly addictive) and the Crab Rangoon isn’t just *any* Crab Rangoon… it’s so rich! Filled with lots of cream cheese Genesis Restaurant in Saskatoon does not skimp on the more expensive ingredients.

The main dishes? For the most part they are wonderful. The Wor Wonton soup has to be my favorite Wonton out of any Saskatoon restaurant. It has absolutely everything in it! BBQ pork? check! Wontons? check! Chicken? check! Delicious veggies? check! An array of seafood? check! all congered in a yummy broth. Ordering fried rice? You can’t go wrong with the BBQ pork or Genesis fried rice (both delicious!)

The seafood Birds Nest has to be my favorite entree. They fry up a Birds Nest which is a bowl made of noodles! Then they fry up a scrumptious array of vegetables and seafood (squid, shrimp, you name it!). The crunchy noodles soak up the sauce… it’s just a great dish. Pepper Chicken, Lemon Chicken (warning very lemony!) it’s all good. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the Ginger Beef, it’s not that it’s bad there is just much better available in the city of Saskatoon.

Genesis Restaurant offers Saskatoon area Pick-Up and Delivery but as it is located on the West Side their Saskatoon Delivery service sucks. It usually takes about an hour to get your food delivered so we would recommend skipping on the delivery and dining in or picking up your food. It’s most definitely worth it.

The best Gourmet Chinese food in Canada! Dim Sum, Dinner, Lunch, whenever you go the food is exceptional.

Saskatoon’s Gourmet Grocers

No, there is no Whole Foods Market in Saskatoon. When you are looking for Gourmet Grocery there is only one place we turn and that’s The Bulk Cheese Warehouse. Located conveniently in the center of Saskatoon on Broadway avenue it’s a great place to stop in when going for a walk by the beautiful scenic river.

There are two parts to the Bulk Cheese Warehouse. First off there is the grocery area, here you will find an incredible variety of cheeses from around the world many of which you won’t find anywhere else in the city (although Costco is now offering a very small selection of Gourmet imported cheeses at very reasonable prices). This grocery store is COOL looking. To the right are the cheese refrigerators and to the left you’ll find the deli area. Here you’ll find gourmet salads, and sides sold by the pound. To the front of the storeby the checkout they have several types of Somosas with very tempting sauces (both Hot & Mild). They also have different types of appetizers and desserts available and fresh and frozen breads for sale.

The second part of the Bulk Cheese Warehouse is the Butcher Shop. Lots of cuts of meat and sausages as well as a Gourmet Specialty freezer with unique finds. Where else in Saskatoon are you going to find Ostrich meat?

The wings are fried up fresh and doused in an incredible variety of delicious flavors. You pick wings or ribs, wet or dry, pound or half pound… and mix it up! Wing nuts also serves Cesar Salad and Fries. If you’re craving something sweet they have Deep Fried Mars bars and Oreo cookies (do you dare!?)

The tables for dining-in are more aimed at the bar crowd for a quick in and out. It’s a cafeteria atmosphere with bright colors and tables and chairs like you’d find in many fast food restaurants. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, even when you take forever staring at the menu being completely overwhelmed with choices. We’ve tried nearly every flavor of wings at Wing Nuts and like almost all of them. But we do prefer Wing Nut’s wing’s over their ribs.

Wing Nuts would be a wonderful option for Saskatoon Catering. Looking for an alternative to pizza for your next sporting get together? Wing Nuts might just be that change of pace you need.
