Our decor is intentionally simple. The stove, mom’s sewing machine, the traditional mennonite pictures on the wall and the dishes that do not match reflect our attempt to create, as closely as possible, an old fashion mennonite kitchen.
At Tauntie Maria’s we follow the recipies that many generations of grandmothers have used. Some of the dishes originated in the Ukrane but with ‘yaps’ (handfuls) of this and a ‘kchneep’ (pinch) of that, they have become decidedly our own. We trust you will like them. |
